Today was an interestingly boring day. I did nothing car related and instead worked for eight hours. But this weekend was truly epic as me and my dad managed to finish work on our 74 vw bus and make it street legal and drove it to a show.
To sum this up on Friday we were almost to the end of our assembly phase, post paint and metal work. Thursday was catastrophic as I cracked our junk yard windshield and I was pissed. But back to Friday (im doing alot of crying tonight, I think I hear the wambulence). Friday we got the windshield installed, put seals on the luggage rack and poptop, installed the seats, got a windshield put in, the reinstalled the heating ducts I forgot to combat a vapor lock issue we have (and will soon be solved).
It took us until 3 but then we were able to get some sleep and go to the Old Girls first show. I have mad pix of the show and I have posted them on two vdub forums. Ill throw a pic up of our bus at the show.

Anyways I went to see the Expendables with a few of my homies last night and I thought I'd share my thoughts.
For starters you could definately tell the movie was directed by Sylvester Stalone. Only a person who doesn't understand the words coming out of their own mouth would write such a terrible dialogue. Also as much as I searched I realized that while the movie had a loose plot (barely), it had no resolution at all. Basically shit blows up and then they go home, twice.
However, I liked the movie....a lot. Sylvester Stalone has a reason for not even attempting to speak clearly in movies, he cancels out dialogues that don't really matter with all the blood, gore and action that you want to see. Not to mention that, while audible, the dialogue was so corny that you couldn't help but laugh at it and therefore enjoy it.
I predict that this movie will gain many viewers because of star power. The list is too long to tell all but Jason Statham, Jet Li, Arnold Schzwartzeneger (or however you spell it), Bruce Willis need I say more....Oh wait thats right ADRIAAAAAAAAAAN. (no just kidding).
But also people who go to see it will see the same things I have just said and tell their friends its a must see. As it is. This movie will become a pseudo cult classic.
Overall on a scale from one to ten I would give the plot a 3, action a 10 (who wouldn't like to see Terry Cruise wield and auto shotty?) , resolution a 0, and overall value a 7.
As I said future cult classic so buy your tix while I can and let me get a cut of that bread Sly.
Until next time peace.
